Tempest Art

When looking at the various types of art that are depicted in different versions of the Tempest I found many interesting pictures. If you look at picture of Miranda at http://www.english.emory.edu/classes/Shakespeare_Illustrated/Goodall.Miranda.html and then look at a picture of her at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tempest_(play) you can see what i mean. One picture is all plain with dull colors and the other picture makes Miranda look like a pretty looking lady, telling her father to be quiet while she stares off in the distance, all beautiful and looking at a hot man.

With any art, i think that it is awesome to have so many different pictures of one thing. It allows each person to create their own mental pictures of the character when reading, then compare their thoughts to the interpretations of others.
