Around the Corner Comment

I could really relate to this poem because I had went to school with a kid since elementary school and he wasnt exactly popular and got teased quite a bit. Well our freshman year of high school I recieved a phone call saying that he had been killed in a car accident. At his funeral, tons of kids went up and appologized to his parents for how rude they had been to him. I know this is not the exact meaning of this particular poem but it does relate in that many of us were not able to say what we needed to say before he left us. Many of us never get the chance to say our sorries or goodbyes before we loose the people who are important to us.
